Somatic therapy and nervous system regulation for chronic pain, anxiety, and chronic illness — available across all of Texas.
A Texas-Raised Therapist Who Works With the Body, Not Just the Mind
Grace Secker grew up in Texas and earned her master’s in counseling at SMU in Dallas before building a practice that served Texans for years. Today she’s a licensed professional counselor and certified yoga therapist (LPC, C-IAYT), and she continues to see Texas clients exclusively online.
She works with people whose symptoms have outlasted the explanations: pain that doesn’t make sense on a scan, gut issues that flare with stress, anxiety that talk therapy alone hasn’t touched. Sessions happen over secure video and go just as deep as they would in an office.
Grace specializes in symptoms where the body and the nervous system are tangled together. They tend to be the ones that never fully resolve with standard treatment, because the nervous system piece never gets addressed.
Grace’s Texas clients join from Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Fort Worth, El Paso, Lubbock, The Woodlands — and everywhere in between. Texas is big; driving an hour each way for a weekly appointment is a real barrier, and in many parts of the state a somatic, nervous-system-focused therapist simply doesn’t exist nearby. Online sessions close that gap.
How Online Sessions Work
1. Free Consultation
A 15-minute video call to talk through what’s going on and whether this approach fits. You’ll leave with clarity either way.
2. Weekly Video Sessions
Regular sessions over a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform — from your home in Texas. Somatic work, nervous system education, and real processing.
3. Tools That Stick
Between sessions you practice the regulation skills that retrain your nervous system — so progress compounds instead of resetting each week.
Meet Grace
Grace Secker, LPC, C-IAYT, is a somatic trauma therapist and nervous system coach who spent years living with chronic symptoms herself — doing all the right things and not getting better — before finding the nervous system work that changed everything. She’s been a therapist for over a decade, with training in Pain Reprocessing Therapy, Brainspotting, and trauma-conscious yoga therapy.
Texas-raised and SMU-trained, she spent years serving Texas clients before relocating to Boulder — her Texas practice never stopped; it just moved online.
Is online therapy as effective as meeting in person?
For nervous system work, yes. Studies consistently show telehealth outcomes on par with in-person therapy, and somatic work is about learning to track and shift what’s happening in your own body — which works over video, in the place your body actually lives most of its life.
Who can work with Grace as a therapy client in Texas?
Anyone physically located in Texas at the time of the session. Therapy licensure is state-based, so therapy clients need to be in Texas, Colorado, or Utah — the states where Grace is licensed.
What if I’m not in Texas, Colorado, or Utah?
The Mind-Body Healing Method, Grace’s nervous system coaching program, is available anywhere. It isn’t therapy, but for chronic pain and symptoms driven by nervous system dysregulation, it’s often the better-fitting container anyway.
Do you take insurance?
Grace is an out-of-network provider. Many Texas clients use out-of-network benefits, and she can provide documentation for reimbursement — bring your questions to the free consultation and you’ll figure out the specifics together.
