Episode 99
Healing Lyme, EOE, and Back Pain through the Mind-Body Healing Method with Kelly Goode
Show notes
Grace is joined by Kelly Goode, who shares her journey from barely being able to walk up stairs and living with 30+ food sensitivities to reclaiming her life in just three months through nervous system work.
Kelly opens up about spending tens of thousands on treatments—from specialty clinics to IV therapy to 20 different supplement bottles—yet still declining to the point where she was Googling her life expectancy. What shifted everything wasn't another protocol, but realizing her nervous system dysregulation was driving her immune system failure, chronic fatigue, EOE, and Lyme disease symptoms.
Together they explore how Kelly went from 30 food allergies to just 3, stopped acid burning in her throat with guided meditations, and cleared her brain fog within the first month. Kelly also shares what it meant to finally stop pushing through pain, reclaim her power from practitioners, and learn that "talking nice to yourself" is actually survival medicine.
This episode is a hopeful reminder that when you address the brain and nervous system—not just the body—healing can happen faster than you think. Even when you've been told your condition is chronic or incurable.

[00:01:56] Hey there and welcome to Heal with Grace. I'm your host, Grace Secker, and I'm a holistic
[00:02:01] licensed therapist and nervous system coach who believes that the chronic and often unseen
[00:02:06] symptoms you're living with are a sign of something deeper going on. A sign that your
[00:02:10] nervous system needs attention. In each episode, I'll share the science behind the most
[00:02:15] common chronic health disorders plus holistic health tips using mental, physical and spiritual
[00:02:20] practices. You'll hear what I've learned in my journey and the true stories from our trusted

[00:02:30] what you're going through. So without further ado, settle in and get cozy. It's time to heal
[00:02:35] with Grace. Hi Kelly. Thank you so much for coming on. I'm really excited to have you.
[00:02:41] Thanks for having me. Glad you're here. You have a pretty awesome story. So I want
[00:02:46] to just go ahead and jump in and ask you, first of all, how did you come to this work?
[00:02:50] Tell us a little bit about just who you are and a little bit about your background.
[00:02:54] Sure. So I'm 55 years old. So that I've always been just a very active person. I'm a mom,
[00:03:05] my son's 25 years old and he's out on his own and I had always had a kind of super busy
[00:03:14] but full life up until about probably five years ago. Right about when COVID hit and
[00:03:24] I just started struggling with being tired and having low energy. My thinking started
[00:03:31] getting cloudy and I also developed a condition in my throat where, well what happened was
[00:03:41] I choked. They choked at a restaurant and I got rushed to the emergency room and
[00:03:49] found out that I have a condition in my esophagus that causes my esophagus to narrow.
[00:03:55] The acronym is EOE. I cannot pronounce it for life. And anyway, so that was kind of the first
[00:04:04] indication that there was something going on and they would stretch my esophagus and
[00:04:12] all of a sudden I had all these tests for food allergies and things and
[00:04:16] they determined that it was acid in my throat and food allergies that was causing it. So that
[00:04:27] started this big long journey. A testing show that I had over 30 different foods that I was
[00:04:34] allergic to and although I didn't know I was allergic to them like I didn't have any outward
[00:04:40] reaction but obviously inside my throat some food was going on. And fast forward a few years later
[00:04:49] I'm just trying to be careful with that but then I started having extreme low energy
[00:04:56] to the point where I was having trouble just functioning and I was having trouble at work.
[00:05:03] I had a very high stress job working for one of the big tech companies
[00:05:08] and I had to tell my boss I just can't do this anymore and so then I went to work with my husband
[00:05:14] and in a small company working part-time like oh I should be able to do this. But a couple years
[00:05:20] ago it was still getting worse and to the point where I was having trouble walking up hills,
[00:05:27] going upstairs, it was like my body was just shutting down and I couldn't sleep and having
[00:05:36] trouble swallowing so all of that just and then I found out somebody told me that sounds like
[00:05:42] Lyme disease and so I got tested for that and yeah I had actually three different parasitic
[00:05:49] bacteria growing in my body and I saw them under the microscope myself and that started a long
[00:05:57] line of supplements and IV vitamin therapy and I spent 10 days straight in a clinic in Idaho
[00:06:05] getting IVs every day and shots in my spine and came home and you know I was I was you know
[00:06:13] still just barely able to function but the naturopath there told me one of the really
[00:06:19] important things in getting better is how you talk to yourself you know your mind and your body
[00:06:25] and that was kind of the impetus you know I'm a Googler and I read a lot yeah I read a lot
[00:06:33] of books I'd read a lot of books already but I just started googling on mind body and that's when
[00:06:38] I found heal with grace and I learned about your mind body method yeah so that's kind of how I
[00:06:47] got into this I really you know the doctor was like oh it's one of five things you need to do
[00:06:51] like drink water of your body and eat whole foods sleep and talk nice to yourself so I was
[00:06:58] trying to be a good girl and do all five things you know so this was kind of that fifth thing
[00:07:04] yeah and yeah I signed up for the online program and then chose to do one-on-one with you because
[00:07:11] I was really struggling and I was scared I could barely think straight and I
[00:07:19] didn't I had really even like given up on most everything I was very interested that I was
[00:07:25] interested in I we had moved to the country to try to reduce my stress and I have all these
[00:07:30] goats and chickens and everything and all this awesome stuff that I've always wanted
[00:07:34] but I couldn't even go outside and play with them I was just like looking at them through the
[00:07:39] window and and that was probably the lowest point was I had just kind of given up on my
[00:07:49] dreams I was trying to do a bed and breakfast here and start trying to do some things that I'm
[00:07:55] really interested in you know I'd already given up my career well that I was like I just can't
[00:08:01] do that anymore it's too stressful well I was trying to find new things but I wasn't even sure
[00:08:07] I was going to be able to do that yeah I had just kind of given up on I was kind of just
[00:08:12] waiting to die I googled how long what's the life expectancy of somebody that has this condition
[00:08:18] in my throat and they said well you probably won't live more than 20 years past your diagnosis
[00:08:22] I like that's not really very longed and so I was already just thinking well like this yeah
[00:08:29] my mom my parents both died at 70 maybe I'm going to two and that's just the way it is were you
[00:08:34] given an explanation of why you had Lyme that's a good question what he said was going on and
[00:08:41] the way that he treats all of these kind of chronic conditions he doesn't even really care what
[00:08:46] your diagnosis are he's just like your immune system your immune system is compromised and
[00:08:53] you know body's just not able to fight anything off so you're getting all this weird stuff
[00:08:58] I mean I connected the dots later like probably even more than maybe he did yeah
[00:09:06] to where I believe now that my nervous system being dysregulated was causing my immune system
[00:09:15] to fail totally 100% believe that you know I've talked to him a little bit about it so that makes
[00:09:22] sense but yeah so a lot of people have parasites I guess in their body and they just are garment
[00:09:28] and they don't do anything they don't go active unless your immune system gets caught yeah yeah
[00:09:34] exactly that I think is a really important note that like what you just said of I now know it
[00:09:41] was my nervous system probably brain response right creating dysregulation in your immune response
[00:09:46] like a low immune system right we don't forget that piece I think functional holistic medicine is
[00:09:52] amazing love it do you think they kind of miss that a little bit and I'm guessing I mean tell me
[00:09:57] if I'm wrong but what you realized was okay well I am doing all this stuff to help my immune
[00:10:01] system but you weren't getting better right right yeah I mean I at one point had 20 different
[00:10:09] bottles of supplements on my countertop and it just felt so complicated and I mean I'm not questioning
[00:10:18] his credentials I think the other thing that really made me realize that was part of it
[00:10:24] was when I started getting better when my nervous system started getting better I could control my
[00:10:31] symptoms through guided meditations and things like I could actually stop the acid burning in my
[00:10:41] throat just by turning on one of your good meditations and I mean I'm doing that regularly
[00:10:49] now that's how I'm and that happened probably within like the first month or so I think you
[00:10:54] noticed some brain fog go away you noticed stopping that acid in your throat right when
[00:10:59] did you notice your fatigue like your energy coming back yeah that was probably
[00:11:04] about a month in and yes I've got that perfectionist thing in me which I know was part of
[00:11:11] some of the problems with all the stress and stuff however I was highly motivated to follow
[00:11:17] the program to the teams because I am a perfectionist but also because I was trying
[00:11:23] to save my own life I mean there was some point there in the first month where I'm like
[00:11:28] oh maybe I'm not gonna die in 15-20 years maybe I will be able to live a little longer and
[00:11:33] I'm like okay I'm gonna just hit this as hard as I can and I mean I had to learn through the program
[00:11:40] to slow my role a little bit and because that part of my personality was
[00:11:48] part of what was dysregulating my nervous systems still there is a level of commitment
[00:11:54] and dedication that I had to get to where every day I'm gonna meditate every day I'm going to
[00:12:02] journal speak every day I'm going you know we're not messing around here and just really
[00:12:09] believing that this is what's gonna help me not go into bazillion appointments you know I had
[00:12:16] lower back pain too and I was going to all these chiropractor appointments and it wasn't
[00:12:22] getting better and I was going all these acupuncture you know I was trying everything and
[00:12:32] I stopped a lot of that actually because I found that calming myself down and
[00:12:41] stopping the hustle yeah I've heard you talk about the hustle and yeah stopping the hustle
[00:12:46] was a big part of me getting better because that's just been my modus operandi for years
[00:12:52] is the hustle and yeah it's caught up with me and I can't live like that anymore.
[00:12:58] Hey friends it's Grace if you feel like you've been doing all of the treatment protocols and
[00:13:03] all the different modalities to heal and you're still not feeling better and it's just kind of
[00:13:07] managing things I'm here to talk to you for a second so it's not because you're doing it
[00:13:13] wrong or you just haven't found the answer yet it's truly because your nervous system and brain
[00:13:18] are still operating in protection mode and your nervous system and brain when it perceives danger
[00:13:24] physical or emotional danger and even just ongoing stress it keeps your body on high alert so
[00:13:30] none of those treatment modalities are actually going to stick or work until you work with the
[00:13:35] bottom line which is your brain and nervous system because when you're in the danger mode
[00:13:39] state your digestion immune system hormones and pain signals all get affected it's like
[00:13:45] trying to heal while the alarm bells are still ringing in the background and that is why so many
[00:13:50] people get stuck you can do all of the treatment things you want but if your system isn't regulated
[00:13:56] your body can't access its natural healing state this is exactly why I created my four month
[00:14:03] signature program the mind body healing method it's a step by step process that helps you calm
[00:14:08] your system rewire old stress patterns and retrain your brain to feel safe again so you can finally
[00:14:14] start to heal for good chronic pain and illness this is a true recovery program not just management
[00:14:21] you'll get guided lessons nervous system practices live support individual and group
[00:14:25] support and a community that actually understands what you're going through enrollment is now
[00:14:31] open so you can find the link below in the show notes or go to elevatetherapywellness.com
[00:14:37] slash mind body healing method because until your brain and body feel safe no protocol or
[00:14:43] treatment plan will actually work when your nervous system works everything starts to heal
[00:14:51] I've kind of had to change my whole countenance
[00:14:55] and like a different person now I mean it's hard it's hard to see it in the middle but I
[00:15:01] and a few other people that have been on here said you know truly are grateful for it it's
[00:15:05] hard to say that when you've been through so much but you become someone you come you become I believe
[00:15:11] more of yourself really but it feels like a person I'm absolutely grateful I mean I'm grateful
[00:15:18] I'm grateful for my symptoms because without that I wouldn't have um yeah gone I wouldn't
[00:15:28] have dug deep into my trauma that I've been avoiding for decades or you know dug into things that I
[00:15:37] thought I had already taken care of and oh I guess I hadn't I'm like I'm a seeker I'm the kind of
[00:15:43] person who's been working on myself my whole life but this was much more focused on what I feel
[00:15:52] actually needed attention and I'm grateful for that because I don't want to waste my time
[00:16:00] reading one more book and this and that and not I'm not having it really getting to the core
[00:16:05] I think that's an important piece to note like you've you've been in self-development you've
[00:16:09] worked on yourself you've done therapy and things in the past so then for you what was
[00:16:15] different about this why did this help the more well what was interesting is yeah I think
[00:16:21] I've had like 20 different counselors I was trying to add them up over my life one um
[00:16:30] one of my more recent counselors told me that I think the stress you're under is making you sick
[00:16:38] she's all I just believe that programming what you you know getting to know me and everything
[00:16:43] and that I needed to find a way to make my body and my brain feel safe and I'm like okay
[00:16:51] how do I do that right the question how okay how that's the biggest question yeah
[00:16:56] and I am really don't feel like I've really run across anything that talked about it exactly
[00:17:03] like that or really had actual practical things that you wake up and do every day
[00:17:09] and then also what to do when you're freaking out like your body's freaking out
[00:17:15] or your mind is freaking out it is very hard I was fairly thinking straight so I just
[00:17:21] was so grateful to just have like okay I'm just gonna hit play on this guided meditation and I'm
[00:17:27] going to do my journaling and talk to my body and talk to the different parts of me
[00:17:35] that were coming up and that's kind of the part that's I feel like I've gotten to know
[00:17:39] myself in a whole new way all of the parts of me and not just trying to be perfect I identified
[00:17:46] probably 15 different personas inside of me that were just the different parts of me that were
[00:17:53] trying to help me some of them you know like you call them protectors but like and I would
[00:17:59] talk to them you know like the acid maker in my throat you know okay what's upsetting you
[00:18:05] let's let's talk it out and learning how to have that compassion with myself to to
[00:18:15] inquire within with kindness I've always joked that I kind of tackle the work I do on my
[00:18:23] inner self with it's like a invasive surgery in the past and this has taught me a way to do it
[00:18:33] where and when you do that you know when you're kind of being mean to yourself
[00:18:37] body doesn't cooperate you know it's like no man I'm not I'm not gonna talk to you
[00:18:42] so yeah just developing this relationship with the parts of me that were suffering
[00:18:47] and and being nice to them and being like what's going on you know and getting through all
[00:18:52] those layers all the way to the inside I like waking up in the morning and going okay who's
[00:18:58] here today you know
[00:19:04] yeah and there's this real little tender part of me in there that's getting brave enough to
[00:19:09] kind of show up you know and and starting to trust me that I can take care of her so I had
[00:19:15] been abandoning myself for many many years yeah and so I'm kind of doing a living amends to
[00:19:23] myself where I made a commitment that I'm going to save my own life and that all of the
[00:19:29] things that I do in this practice are more important than anything before starting this work would you
[00:19:36] have said throughout all of your self-development work right would you have said oh I'm abandoning
[00:19:40] myself so that's a strong statement no I didn't think I was I thought that I um I thought that
[00:19:47] I had pretty good self-esteem on board and and that I was a healthy person I mean people
[00:19:55] have told me you're so healthy um you know what I hadn't realized though was like when I was
[00:20:01] obsessing on what to eat or what not to eat what supplements to take or what not supplements
[00:20:07] not to take or what modality to try next that um I didn't realize that I was being hard on myself
[00:20:17] I thought I was being a good girl doing all the right stuff so um this has made me um just
[00:20:25] have a whole different way of looking at it yeah I think that's I mean that's a very important
[00:20:30] point you we're trying to do all the right things we all do of course you're trying
[00:20:33] to help yourself right but there's a lot of pressure and rigidness and perfectionism that
[00:20:40] comes in in to play with that and just then the fact that doesn't end up working very well or
[00:20:46] you're just always constantly searching right so yeah I learned that I'm a highly sensitive person
[00:20:53] I mean I've kind of I've kind of known that I've always known that I'm sensitive I always
[00:20:57] approached it more from um I don't know just something I had to work around
[00:21:04] so now um I actually kind of like that part of me because I can tune in to my body I can see what's
[00:21:11] going on now by just kind of going inside and and I am genuinely curious what's that about
[00:21:18] what are you trying to tell me so I do get flare-ups from time to time I mean stress
[00:21:22] and life happens you know but yeah I I just feel like for the first time ever I actually have
[00:21:27] something I know what to do I know all right let's see what's going on
[00:21:33] yeah yeah go ahead I was just gonna say it's information you know it's I think a bit like
[00:21:39] a check engine light like I uh I want to know is there something new about me that I'm gonna
[00:21:47] learn that maybe something's coming up that I didn't know about and I'm like kind of excited
[00:21:54] oh I'm gonna go get my journal and and see what this one's about yeah yeah that shift from oh
[00:22:02] curiosity and like oh what's going on and what's happening versus oh my gosh how do I get over this
[00:22:08] this is something like what's what's happening with fear instead of what's going on so curiosity
[00:22:16] it sounds kind of simple and some people might be listening being like I don't know
[00:22:19] but that shift I mean that reduces the fear and anxiety that makes a nervous system dysregulated
[00:22:27] which increases I mean or decreases I mean response and all the things right so even
[00:22:32] you just naming that it's huge that response towards your body is so so so important yeah
[00:22:38] yeah this when I look back at how I would handle just you know having a symptom yeah
[00:22:45] we're having a new diagnosis you know just deep dive into fear and anxiety and I was just
[00:22:52] I didn't realize I was making you worse and I remember the day I got on the was going to the
[00:22:57] airport to go to that clinic the Lyme clinic and I was just you're like so sorry for this
[00:23:05] and you know just dragging this big suitcase that could barely get there but um
[00:23:11] but yeah just layering on as long as anxiety
[00:23:17] where I didn't have hope before yeah now that I I believe now that I am capable of healing
[00:23:29] and that I'm in charge of that like I had been giving all of my power to these professionals
[00:23:36] that I was seeing you know like what's wrong with me fix me you know and I was going in with
[00:23:41] that approach and then I would get mad at them when it would fall short and so another just part
[00:23:50] of the shift I think was taking accountability for my own healing and and believing and trying
[00:23:57] to truly believing that yeah I can do this I've got all the faculties within me to initiate
[00:24:04] my own healing and it just supports even kind of how I believe spiritually because I believe I'm a
[00:24:13] spiritual being having a human experience and the fact that at the core the solution is working on
[00:24:21] trauma and just things that are more on the emotional level makes total sense to me
[00:24:29] yeah next total sense it all adds up taking your power back knowing you have the resources
[00:24:35] and tools within you is the best thing I think we can give anyone but especially in this
[00:24:40] right I mean feeling like you have no control and that your symptoms are just all over the place
[00:24:46] and yeah you're giving it over to everyone else because yeah I get it when you're in that place
[00:24:50] you don't know it's horrible but yeah that shift I even I even see it just in like the glow
[00:24:56] of your face and just like the shift in and you're like how you hold yourself you know it's
[00:25:00] just different it's different yeah was there a key moment or moments where you notice that shift like
[00:25:07] oh I can I can help myself now yeah yeah I think I started getting my smile back
[00:25:16] when I actually had a lot of fun identifying the different parts of me like I actually you
[00:25:24] would say like oh let them have a seat at the table but they're not at the head of the table
[00:25:28] you know these kind of protector parts of you and I don't know just drawing this table and making
[00:25:33] these little um caricatures but I guess because I was inviting in and I was no longer resisting
[00:25:43] all the resistors in me if that makes sense um I had stopped having to fight so I was so
[00:25:50] tired I couldn't fight anymore and thank goodness the solution was to not fight anymore
[00:25:58] to to relax and let it all in and talk to it not be afraid of it and inquire with curiosity and
[00:26:09] that was such a softer feeling and because I could tell I didn't have much fight left
[00:26:16] I didn't want to fight anymore and um I would say I'm fighting to save my own life but when
[00:26:25] I'm fighting to save my own life that I'm actually involved stopping fighting and just listening and
[00:26:31] yeah yeah it's often the thing that some people have a hard time with because it's it feels
[00:26:37] scary to stop fighting feels like you're giving up or letting it go but actually it's the opposite
[00:26:43] you're empowering yourself to soften and to I mean deal with grace is yes my name but it's a
[00:26:51] it's also double meaning right I named it for a reason grace we need grace and compassion
[00:26:55] through this so much because most of our life we've been fighting ourselves which is part of
[00:27:00] part of not the whole reason but part of how we're in chronic symptoms so yeah that makes
[00:27:05] sense that it was a big turning point for you yeah and it feels more in line with my true
[00:27:10] personality I had taken on this mask just to kind of fit in society I think of just being tough
[00:27:19] you know I used to be a manager of people for many many years I was like this boss lady and
[00:27:27] taken on the man and all that and now I just feel like it was I did kind of chuckle
[00:27:34] for a while and I go gosh this is just funny because it's like way different than I thought
[00:27:44] okay now I'm like oh yeah I think I am gonna enjoy the rest of my life
[00:27:50] because I remember thinking at 50 you know in those jobs I'm like I can't do this for another
[00:27:56] 15 years I'm not gonna make it like to retirement I'm like I'm not gonna make it
[00:28:01] like like was figuring that out and I'm like I don't know what I'm gonna do
[00:28:06] you know and it was scary but now letting go of that personality that wasn't really mine
[00:28:14] and kind of learning gradually who I want to be now and who I am by now I'm seeking out a new
[00:28:26] career that has to do with helping people heal you know has to do with nervous system
[00:28:32] and just because that's what I'm generally interested in now and yeah I don't have to fight anymore
[00:28:37] yeah it's not worth it so then how have your symptoms changed from when we first started
[00:28:44] so yeah about halfway through I noticed that I could walk up my hill again
[00:28:51] and do all my chores and you know I take care of goats and chickens I'm like
[00:28:57] shoveling and whale-barrowing and all of that I'm able to pick up a bag of green again
[00:29:04] and then for so long I had had my life down to just the bare minimum like I had stopped
[00:29:12] going for hikes or riding my bicycle or anything about halfway through I started
[00:29:17] having thoughts like oh it's the weekend and I'm not completely exhausted maybe I'll actually
[00:29:23] do something instead of just collapsing on the couch for the whole weekend so yeah I'm seeking out
[00:29:32] community which I hadn't we've been living in this new place for two and a half years and I
[00:29:37] haven't even done that yet yeah physically more energy and then my mind just working clearly
[00:29:46] um yeah so I had some relationship things I needed to work on that were needing attention
[00:29:53] and I couldn't even go there because I couldn't think clearly but yeah the my brain is clear now and
[00:30:03] calm and not triggered every minute so um I can actually kind of rationally go okay
[00:30:09] what's going on here you know communicate and figure it out so that and then um so now
[00:30:16] foods I got retested from my food sensitivities recently and now I'm only showed up three foods
[00:30:24] that I'm sensitive to and so I went from 30 to three yeah so now I eat whatever I want pretty
[00:30:32] much I know I didn't realize how sad that was making me to not be able to eat it just sucked
[00:30:41] like going out to a restaurant was terrible holidays I just didn't go into potlucks I just
[00:30:48] didn't even want to do any of that and I mean that's just so much of joy in life
[00:30:56] being able to eat things so yeah that part's fun and I really enjoy cooking so that's one of
[00:31:01] the things that I picked back up again and then my bad my lower back in is life I'd say it's like
[00:31:09] 85% gone uh yeah so there's just a little bit there it kind of shows up sometimes I get a little
[00:31:16] too excited about my new life and I I do a little bit too many things and my body lets me know
[00:31:25] but you know just chill out a little bit I like that now because now I know what it means
[00:31:30] before I would just push through I would I had been doing like cycling around Italy
[00:31:35] and things like that and I'm you know I still might someday do something like that again but
[00:31:41] before what I was doing is just not listening to my body pushing myself through these things yeah
[00:31:47] and I'm not even sure why like I was trying to prove to myself that I was this amazing person
[00:31:54] or something I don't know but my definition of amazing person is completely different now too
[00:31:59] like when I meet people that take care of themselves I'm like yeah when I hang out with you
[00:32:05] exactly yeah I'm no longer impressed by you you did Mount Everest okay
[00:32:14] yeah so you just pushed yourself what are you running from no I'm kidding
[00:32:19] probably here some of the time yeah to ask that yeah yeah that's I mean your whole
[00:32:24] perception of yourself has changed not only obviously on an emotional mental level
[00:32:29] psychological level spiritual level but I mean your physical body is so different and
[00:32:35] that was within three months so we had our last call yesterday our 12th week
[00:32:41] so pretty much exactly three months to the day so it's been pretty cool to see yeah I just I
[00:32:47] am so very grateful for finding the using the mind body method and for your support
[00:32:55] truly I have scoured the planet for resources and I'm just grateful what I found you because this
[00:33:05] is exactly what I needed exactly what I needed and just I had a hard time trusting professionals
[00:33:12] you know because I would put too much faith in them and just hand over my power but and then
[00:33:19] feel disappointed but also you know it wasn't just working it wasn't doing it but I appreciate how
[00:33:26] you share your story and are so transparent that actually helped me in the beginning to
[00:33:35] be like okay she could do it and you know she's just a normal person too and
[00:33:42] it felt genuine yeah my brain was like okay let's give try one more thing
[00:33:48] one more thing yeah that's actually why I'm also having you and more people on here to share stories
[00:33:54] because actually research even shows we it really helps us to content not only continue this work
[00:34:00] but to kind of buy in in a way right that this is possible when we hear other stories of people
[00:34:04] healing it's just such a important power for a piece of this work is the education behind it
[00:34:10] what's going on and then the hope instilling that hope because like you said most of the
[00:34:14] time we get to this by the time we're just depleted jaded a little hopeless not trusting
[00:34:20] so I really appreciate you coming on here and sharing I can only imagine how helpful it is for
[00:34:26] people listening yeah yeah and I hope people if anybody that is listening that is having any of
[00:34:32] those experiences where you're about to give up hope that you know just try one more thing
[00:34:38] yeah what would you well I was about to ask maybe this is it but what would you tell
[00:34:42] someone that is where you once were before starting yeah and try to set aside what you
[00:34:48] thought you knew try to set aside what you thought you knew and give it a fair shake because our
[00:34:55] mind we are so much more powerful than we realize and I mean I think many of us kind of know that
[00:35:02] we say that but this is what that means and this is a way to actually tap into
[00:35:10] the power that we know we have inside of us that's there and you're a coach you you know I did most
[00:35:18] of the talk but you pointed me into like have you thought about this about that just enough
[00:35:25] to where I could gain confidence in my own ability to heal myself and use these tools
[00:35:32] and to where I could own it and and feel like okay now I can keep going on my own and I know what
[00:35:42] to do I'm not dependent on you know counseling forever or anything like that I have something
[00:35:50] in me now that empowers me to be able to heal and grow for the rest of my life exactly that's
[00:35:57] I mean that's the whole goal is to help you empower yourself to to heal you to have the
[00:36:02] tools and the skills exactly so perfectly put thank you Kelly thank you thank you thank you
[00:36:07] for so much so much for coming on here and sharing and it's also just cool to hear your
[00:36:13] kind of synopsis of it you know I mean we talk about it but just in this whole way it's really
[00:36:18] I really enjoyed just kind of hearing how you perceive this whole process for you
[00:36:22] you know so thank you thank you very much you're welcome happy to all right everyone
